Hello there
I am Mellissa and am the creative and colourful owner of Aluna Boheme. I have been stitching up all maner of fabulous things ever since I was a small girl learning to sew on my nana's Singer treadle sewing machine. I ran kids workshops teaching sewing and craft in Hong Kong where I lived for many years. I now am offering these sewing and craft workshops and parties as a mobile service around the Mandurah area.
Fashion Designer for a day
In this very hands on, full day workshop, kids will learn how to draft and sew their very own gorgeous sundress which can convert into a cool skirt, without using a pattern. Upcyle a t-shirt, make a fabric necklace and if time permits, also a fun matching bag.
They are taught how to use a sewing machine safely, hand sewing, appliqué and learn how to define their own style and colour palette, making their creations truly their own. At the end of the day the kids put on a fashion show for the adults.

Ignite your child’s inner creative fire and bring their design dreams to light by customising a workshop where kids will learn how to sew their very own project of choice.
Kids are taught how to use a sewing machine safely, how to cut and sew fabric. The fun part is decorating their creation with fabric markers, appliqué, hand stitching and embellishments making it completely unique to them. Everyone leaves with a completed project.
